1. Complete Merchant Data Sovereignty
You (the Merchant) own 100% of your business data. RealPOS acts exclusively as a secure data processor. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or harvest your transactional data, customer phone numbers, or inventory profit margins for third-party advertisers.
2. Data We Collect and Why
We collect store registration information (company name, branch addresses, authorized staff emails), device identifiers (for POS register pairing and fraud detection), and transactional logs necessary to produce accurate tax invoices and financial reports.
3. Cryptographic Storage & Encryption
All data traveling between your counter terminal and RealPOS is guarded by TLS 1.3 encryption. Third-party integration keys (OpenAI, Paystack, Stripe, Termii SMS) are sealed with AES-256-CBC encryption at rest.
4. Data Export & Statutory Retention
You can download full CSV/Excel dumps of your products, customers, and sales ledger anytime. Upon account cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days for backup verification before permanent cryptographic erasure.
